Practice

I watched this film last night.

How to Cook Your Life

Found it to be quite thoughtful and well done.

I had picked up a little of Edward Espe Brown's personality from his writings in the Tassajara Bread Book. The film offered additional exposure to his edge. Always a bit of a relief for me to see someone so aware of and working with their self. And to see that, though he's been a devout Zen practitioner for 40 years, he is, in no way, perfect and continues to struggle to find peace. I guess that's why they call it a "practice". What a pleasure to remember it's often more about the path than the destination.

I've always been curious about Tassajara...

I just love this film....could watch it over and over again. Edward has such a vibrant personality and great approach to cooking and life in general.

Tassajara is a wonderful place, and Ed is a wonderful fellow. If you ever get a chance, go visit... and sit awhile. : )

I love the movie.

Ed just got my 58 year old body to start to learn how to bake good tasting bread after listening to his dharma talks.
