Study Buddy Week Nine + two bits of good news
Today the neurosurgeon gave Carolyn/Gramma C permission to take off her brace. After five long weeks, she can now function above a 45 degree angle whout wearing what amounts to a turtle shell on her front and back abdomen. It's brought her a great sense of freedom along with a little wobbly-ness as her muscles adjust to supporting her weight upright once again.

The girls spent their first night outside in their new henhouse last night. They didn't quite get the idea that it might be warmer up on the second floor, so they huddled together on the low perch near the ground and had a chilly but successful first night. Tonight they seem to have gotten the hang of things. We can see through the window and clear roofing panels that they've all found nice spots on the higher roosts. I'll give you a tour of the henhouse in an upcoming post. For now I'll just let you ponder Bessie here. Anyone think we've got ourselves a little rooster?
