Father's Day? Nope. Solstice? Nope. Summer? For sure!

In a surprise turn of events I have been able to attend all the recent get-togethers which I thought for sure I'd miss out on.

This little babe has definitely decided to hold out for summer.

I was thinking Solstice would be a pretty sweet birth-day, but at this point in the longest day of the year, I don't think he'll be making an appearance.

We joined a great big group of friends and neighbors at the park this evening for an outdoor feast and romp in the grass. Yes, many many of us (including myself) were suffering grass pollen allergies, but it didn't dampen our spirits.

Every swing occupied. Every slide being slid down. Every patch of grass a place for friends to circle up and talk.

It was a joy to gather and eat and play en masse and celebrate the beginning of summer.

The season of both our boys' births. I can only say with confidence that he will be here soon.
