Tradition

We're back. The annual Southtown Campout at Waldo Lake was a complete success. Nine families, twenty nine people, five campsites, 3 nights... any way you look at it it all adds up to a wonderful long weekend by a beautiful lake in the woods with great people - big and small.

I'm having trouble narrowing down my picture selection, so this may seem like a lot, but it tells the story... and a long story it seems to be.

We had a great time...

With family...

And friends...

Getting ready for the group portrait. My camera didn't take the shot this year.

In camp...

Feasting...

In the evening...

Jeff playing sax while we watched the moon rise across the lake was a definite highlight.

Everyone, including other campers, loved it.

In boats...

Sisters!

And at the shore.

Oh man, we took over the beach!

These are great memories for me. I looked forward to this trip all year. I can only hope the same is true for my boy Calder. He's a very lucky kid to have this in his life starting at such a young age. What a fun group of people to grow up with. And what a fabulous tradition we all share.
