FIVE SENSES FRIDAY morning edition
Abby's hosting the return of Five Senses Friday and I'm playing along.
Sight:
- vintage toys i picked up yesterday from the free box(!) at the antique store
- a Brownie Target Six-20 Jeff inherited from his Uncle Erwin who recently passed away
- old family photos brought back from St. Charles, IL; some of them taken with the above camera
- the handcarved stamp tutorial by Geninne (i'm really looking forward to getting around to this project and accumulating a collection like hers. so cool.)
Feel:
- Huey's collar of the softest white fur
- goosebumps on my arm before the heater kicked on (it's another cold, clear, beautiful day here in Corvallis)
Hear:
- listening to the conversation at breakfast
Taste:
- toast made from the homemade bread left on our stoop yesterday evening by Joe who trades goodies like this for saxophone lessons with Jeff
- polishing off the last of the second batch of rice pudding
Smell:
- the coffee grounds waiting to be brewed (1/2 Ethiopian - dry roasted by a friend, and 1/2 decaf Guatemalan - mild so as to not compete with the Ethiopian)
- the juice of 2 lemons squeezed before they dry out
- our sweet daphne bouquet still going strong on the dining room table
Thanks for reminding us to take it ALL in, Abby.

love your list. That fur looks so incredibly soft.
Wow, thanks for that Neko Case link. I really loved it! And I like your 'listening to the conversation at breakfast' photo.
I love the photo of your cat; it's so artistic! I'm playing along with Five Senses Friday, too...fun!
