STRAWBERRIES FOR CALDER

We heard from a friend that a farm down the road had some good u-pick, no spray strawberries, so Gramma C, Calder and I set out yesterday afternoon to pick a few pounds.

The boy kept busy for quite some time sifting dirt through his fingers at the end of our row...

...watching planes overhead, and scanning the farm for animals (duck spotted "quack quack.")

But of course, once he had his first berry he spent the rest of the time munching away. Gramma over-paid a bit to compensate for his in-field feasting.

The price was ridiculously cheap. My 6+ pounds (a bucketfull) only cost us $4.25.

I'm pretty sure we'll be headed back out there to gather more in a few days.
