At the river

We went down to the river today. Intermittent downpours be damned.



At the launch a man was headed out in his skiff to fish for salmon. We fished from the dock with long grasses and dried stems from last year's wildflowers. Skunked. Better luck next time.



At the nearest beach he had all sorts of ideas.



I've got to do this with him more often.



Back to the river tomorrow with Papa in tow, I hope.
